Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Danilo Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ring fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Castillo avoids it really well and circles away.
Some wild striking there from Castillo.
Ring fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Castillo swats away the attempt to clinch by Ring.

Ring drives through and clinches with Castillo against the cage.

Castillo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ring clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

What's going on here? Castillo has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!
Castillo throws a hook but Ring avoids it easily.

Ring rushes Castillo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Castillo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Ring tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Castillo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Castillo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ring.
Ring shoots for a double leg takedown but Castillo sprawls well. He's pushed Ring's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ring jumps guard and drags Castillo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Castillo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ring is out of range and Castillo settles back down.

Ring is pushing Castillo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ring throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castillo's waist but Castillo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ring off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ring shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castillo as he jumps to the side.

and Ring counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Castillo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ring can't fight it off and eventually Castillo manages to take the fight to the floor. Ring looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ring holds on and takes a little breather.
Ring manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Castillo bucks Ring off and manages to get back to his feet!
Castillo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ring changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Castillo tries to avoid it but Ring manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Castillo to the ground. Castillo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ring darts in and clinches Castillo up against the cage.

Ring gets control of Castillo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ring will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Castillo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ring has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ring and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ring looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ring feints a jab promting Castillo to slip. Ring then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Castillo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ring looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castillo is fending him off so far but Ring persists. Nope, Castillo circles away and we're back to standing.
Castillo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ring checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Ring makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ring shoots in but Castillo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Shane Ring is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I would just about give that final round to Shane Ring.
I've got Ring winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
