The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Weed darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Weed throws a jab when Clark was well out of range.
Clark throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Weed lands a really nice looking cross but Clark seems unphased.
Weed is looking to clinch.
Clark misses with a low kick as Weed jumps back.
Clark finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Weed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Clark might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Weed kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Clark's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Weed controlling the pace for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
