Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Troy Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Shuster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Reed might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DJ Shadow, Six Days. Shuster has chosen Superman as his entrance music. Troy Reed has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shuster tries to bum rush Reed with a series of wild strikes but Reed uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Reed blocks a head kick by Shuster.
Jerry Shuster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Shuster.
Reed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No luck for Reed with that takedown attempt.
Shuster takes one on the button.
Shuster tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reed misses with a takedown attempt - Shuster sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Reed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shuster circles away.
Shuster scores with a head kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Shuster.
Shuster throws a sloppy head kick and Reed moves out of range easily.

No joy there for Shuster, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reed pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Reed tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Horrible takedown by Reed or perhaps it was just good defense by Shuster which made him look bad.
Reed is breathing heavily.
Shuster misses with a head kick.

Shuster bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Shuster swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Reed.

Reed is rocked!
Shuster tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Reed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reed takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jerry Shuster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Whack! Shuster lands a heavy head kick that drops Reed. The ref tackles Shuster to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Reed was done.
