Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siojbka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hughes pinned against the cage. Hughes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hughes controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Siojbka wants to stand and escape but Hughes is having none of it.

Hughes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siojbka swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hughes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Siojbka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hughes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Siojbka, who protects the arm well.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Siojbka enables Hughes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Siojbka manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
