Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Curt Gessner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pizza Parlor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curt Gessner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pizza Parlor!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gessner waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Parlor.
Gessner looks to land a left hand but Parlor moved out of range nicely.
Gessner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parlor.
Parlor pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gessner back to the cage. Parlor follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Curt Gessner has been cut.
Parlor fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Gessner walks into a left hand.
Gessner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Parlor lands with a hook. Gessner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd cheers as Parlor lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gessner doesn't seem phased though.
Parlor stuffs the takedown attempt from Gessner. Gessner gets slowly back to his feet.
Gessner shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Parlor counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Gessner shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Parlor manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Parlor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gessner content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parlor can do anything to dispel that myth.

Parlor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Parlor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Gessner wants to control from the top but Parlor keeps moving.
Gessner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Parlor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gessner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gessner throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Parlor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gessner is in Parlor's guard.

Gessner misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Parlor looking for a sweep but Gessner has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Gessner lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gessner throwing strikes here but Parlor is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Gessner sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

BOOM! Gessner connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Parlor is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's time! Gessner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Gessner takes a swing at Parlor's ribcage but misses.
Gessner throws the left hand but Parlor avoids the punch easily.
Gessner pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Parlor shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gessner eats them both and turns towards Parlor to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Parlor scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gessner doesn't seem bothered though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gessner uses his free foot to push down on Parlor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Parlor.

Gessner misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Gessner won't let Parlor get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Parlor is working to get back to half guard.

Gessner cracks Parlor with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight!
Curt Gessner showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Gessner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
