Ecxaem feints and as Almeida raises his hands in defense, Ecxaem changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ecxaem drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Almeida manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ecxaem has Almeida in his guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Arsen Ecxaem wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ecxaem tries to score a power double leg takedown but Almeida sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ecxaem somewhat.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ecxaem here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Ecxaem is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Almeida knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
