The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rolf tries to close the distance and clinch but Beam swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Beam throws the left hand but Rolf avoids the punch easily.
Horrible takedown by Beam or perhaps it was just good defense by Rolf which made him look bad.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rolf stalks Beam and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Beam's face. Beam staggers backwards, shaken.
Beam is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rolf is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Beam.
Beam tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rolf sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beam somewhat.

Beam shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rolf but Rolf pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nice takedown defense from Rolf. No joy for Beam on that attempt.
