Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brenno Penna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penna comes to the cage accompanied by APOCALYPSE NOW. Brenno Penna has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penna misses with a low kick.
Chan tries a head kick but it misses.
Chan throws a solid leg kick but Penna takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Chan.
Penna fails with the takedown.

Penna looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Penna is working for a kimura but Chan is defending it quite comfortably.
Chan is not content to let Penna control the position.

Penna is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Chan wants to control but Penna is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Chan is looking to improve his position.
Penna seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Penna is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Penna thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chan's head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Penna tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Penna not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Chan won't allow Penna to pass to mount.

Penna is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chan defends it well.
Chan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Penna.

Penna seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Chan is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
