The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Jamess, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
LeBron Jamess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jamess goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jamess lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Jamess shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Winfield's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jamess blocks the strikes from Winfield.
Winfield tries to get to full guard but Jamess has control of the leg.
Jamess is taking a breather. Winfield says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Winfield throws a strike from the bottom but Jamess passes into side control!

Jamess swings around for an armbar but Winfield sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jamess's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winfield accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jamess utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Winfield throws and elbow that misses. Jamess uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Winfield's guard. Nice move by Jamess!

Jamess drops back looking for a leg! Winfield is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Winfield manages to kick Jamess off! Jamess jumps back into Winfield's guard.
