Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keenan Burgess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Kain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keenan Burgess has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keenan Burgess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Kain!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burgess forces Kain back against the cage and clinches.

Burgess pulls guard.
Burgess keeping moving, preventing Kain from controlling successfully.

Kain drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kain jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Burgess can't keep his opponent in guard - Kain advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Burgess regains full guard. Nicely done.
Burgess wants to get back to his feet but Kain is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kain won't allow Burgess to sweep him here.
Burgess wants to get back to his feet but Kain passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burgess preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Kain is working for a kimura but Burgess is defending it quite comfortably.
Burgess knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kain on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burgess is not content to let Kain control the position.
Burgess really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Burgess is trying to get back to full guard.
Kain seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burgess does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kain uses his free foot to push down on Burgess's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Burgess.
Burgess wants to control but Kain is having none of it.
Burgess working to try and regain half guard.
Burgess is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Burgess regains half guard.
Burgess works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kain looking to pass the guard.

Kain thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Burgess not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Burgess is breathing heavily.
Kain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Burgess is keeping the position for now.
Kain wants to control from the top but Burgess keeps moving.
Burgess trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kain wants to control from the top but Burgess keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Burgess shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burgess was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kain manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kain trying to get back to full guard but Burgess takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Kain gets back to half guard.
Kain makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kain.
Burgess loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Burgess throwing strikes from guard but Kain blocks nicely.

Kain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burgess gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Burgess prevents Kain from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kain wants to control the position but Burgess says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Burgess decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Kain shoots and misses
and Burgess counters with a series of strikes. Kain will be more careful next time no doubt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Burgess clinches with his opponent.

Burgess gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Burgess trying to control from half guard but Kain is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kain manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Burgess wants to control from the top but Kain keeps moving.
Kain is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burgess looking to pass the guard.
Burgess slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keenan Burgess dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Burgess has closed the distance and engaged Kain in a clinch.

Burgess breaks the clinch.
Kain tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Burgess counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kain!
Kain sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Kain is looking for a sweep. Burgess is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kain is trying to control but can't.
Burgess thows a huge punch but Kain dodges it nicely.
Kain manages to get to full guard.
Burgess wants to control from the top but Kain keeps moving.

Burgess has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kain to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Burgess is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kain pulls down on the head and he's put Burgess to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dylan Kain!
