Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMillan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mekhar.
No joy there for McMillan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mekhar's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Mekhar duly obliges.
McMillan throws a hook but Mekhar avoids it easily.
Mekhar jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
McMillan moves out of range of the body kick.
Mekhar jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McMillan misses with a wild body shot.
McMillan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mekhar's head.
Mekhar fails to land with a series of punches.
McMillan misses with an uppercut. Mekhar saw that one coming.

McMillan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mekhar quickly recovers to half guard.

Mekhar can't keep his opponent in guard - McMillan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Mekhar swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Mekhar wants to control but McMillan is having none of it.

McMillan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mekhar has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mekhar tries to hold on but McMillan postures up.

McMillan working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mekhar is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mekhar gets back to half guard.
McMillan is trying to control the action in half guard but Mekhar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

McMillan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mekhar looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
McMillan wants to free his trapped foot but Mekhar is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mekhar gets back to full guard.

Mekhar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McMillan defends it easily.
Mekhar wants to sweep here but McMillan controlling him for the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McMillan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Mekhar has his foot on McMillan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McMillan works his way back into a safe position though.

Mekhar has an active guard here but McMillan has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson McMillan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McMillan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mekhar avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd cheers as Mekhar lands an impressive looking overhand right. McMillan doesn't seem phased though.
Mekhar lands a head shot.
Mekhar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McMillan moves away.
McMillan connects with a looping right hand.
McMillan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mekhar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McMillan loads up on a big right hand but Mekhar slips the punch.
Mekhar has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McMillan finds it's way round the side to connect with Mekhar's head.
McMillan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mekhar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mekhar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mekhar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for McMillan!

Mekhar with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McMillan is looking to improve his position but Mekhar isn't that keen on the idea.

Mekhar is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McMillan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McMillan!
McMillan postures up in Mekhar's guard and throws a big left but Mekhar blocks it.

Mekhar is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but McMillan frees his head nicely. Oh but Mekhar has switched to an armbar! McMillan is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
