Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillips comes to the cage accompanied by Tarantula. Lee Phillips looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Phillips!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Hector Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Phillips circles away quickly and effectively.
Phillips shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Munoz defends it nicely.
Munoz misses with a few strikes there.
Munoz throws a right hand that Phillips ducks under and follows up with a left that Phillips also avoids with ease.
Munoz misses with the combination.

Phillips fails with a takedown attempt.
Munoz throws a right and a left that Phillips avoids nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Munoz tries to bum rush Phillips with a series of wild strikes but Phillips uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Phillips stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Munoz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Phillips has gone for a leg lock! Munoz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Phillips's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Munoz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Phillips stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Munoz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Munoz throws a big right hand that misses.

Munoz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Phillips dives on top into guard.
Phillips tries to free his leg and advance position but Munoz is retaining full guard.

Phillips drops back, looking for a kneebar! Munoz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Munoz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Munoz!

Phillips prevents Munoz from moving into mount.
Phillips tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Munoz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Munoz lands a decent elbow from side control.

Munoz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No joy there for Munoz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hector Munoz dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Phillips shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Munoz moves into full guard.
Munoz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Munoz pulls Phillips in close to prevent any damage.
Munoz wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Phillips trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Munoz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Munoz wants to stand up but Phillips has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Munoz lands a nice short elbow.
Munoz drops an elbow to the side of Phillips's head.

Phillips shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Munoz is trying to defend but Phillips finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Munoz pushes Phillips off looking to stand but Phillips dives back in and keeps control.
Munoz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Phillips. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Phillips looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Phillips seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Munoz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Munoz wants to get back to his feet.

Phillips is looking for a kimura here.
Phillips tries to pass the half guard into mount. Munoz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Phillips is working for a submission of some sort.

Phillips is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Munoz is just riding it out for now. Phillips eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Phillips is looking to pass Munoz's guard but actually Munoz recovers to full guard.
Phillips looking to sit in guard and control but Munoz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Munoz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Phillips works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lee Phillips will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Munoz has his hands clasped together around Phillips's back. He's all about the action.

Phillips seems to be looking for submissions.
Munoz won't allow Phillips to pass to mount.
Phillips trying to control the action but Munoz is working from the bottom.

Phillips is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Munoz sees it coming and defends easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Phillips looking for a submission but Munoz manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Phillips postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Munoz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Phillips, into his guard.

Munoz chips away with some ground and pound.
Munoz tries to stand but Phillips is controlling from the bottom.

Phillips has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Munoz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lee Phillips.
I think Phillips has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
