The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapio moves out of range of the leg kick from Zar.
Zar misses with a series of wild punches.
Zar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Zar misses with a few strikes there.
Lapio looks for a takedown but Zar sprawls well.
Zar throws a right and a left that Lapio avoids nicely.
Lapio tries for a takedown but Zar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Zar throws a leg kick but Lapio checks it.
Zar misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lapio shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zar as he avoids it easily.
Gala Zar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tapio Lapio.
Zar missing with a left hand there. Lapio was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lapio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zar is fending him off so far but Lapio persists. Nope, Zar circles away and we're back to standing.
Some wild striking there from Zar.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zar lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lapio fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lapio looks gassed!
A thudding body kick lands there by Zar!
Zar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lapio.

Zar has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lapio jumps guard but Zar stands there with Lapio around his waist. Lapio gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Zar.
Lapio tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zar smiles and moves away.
Zar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zar moves into range and connects with a jab.
Zar drops Lapio with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lapio! Zar dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
