Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Grim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons has chosen Georgia as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grim takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Steve Grim has been cut.
Grim looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Simmons throws a nice looking combination but Grim bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Grim rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simmons moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Grim takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Simmons drops his hands momentarily and Grim takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Simmons looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grim has hold of Simmons's hands but Simmons slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Simmons looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grim with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Simmons moves into full mount! Grim won't be happy about that!

Simmons looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Simmons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grim's waist but Grim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simmons off to one side.

Simmons stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Stephen Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simmons stuffs the takedown attempt from Grim. Grim gets slowly back to his feet.

and Grim counters with a nice leg kick.

Simmons might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Grim kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
