The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley looks to throw the jab but Alavaara is out of range.
Riley missing with a left hand there. Alavaara was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Alavaara misses with a series of wild punches.
Riley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alavaara.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alavaara. Riley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alavaara moves out of range of the leg kick from Riley.
Alavaara slips a jab from Riley.
Riley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Alavaara misses with an uppercut. Riley saw that one coming.
Alavaara sizes up Riley with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Riley loads up on a big right hand but Alavaara slips the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riley throws a low kick but it's checked well by Alavaara.
Alavaara on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Riley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alavaara.
Alavaara takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Alavaara takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Riley misses with a looping left.
A slow jab from Alavaara misses its intended target.
A big right from Alavaara misses.

Riley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Alavaara wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Riley.
Riley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alavaara looks a forlorn figure.
Alavaara is squirming around, avoiding Riley's attempts to control the action.
Riley looking to finish Alavaara with some ground and pound. This is bad for Alavaara!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Riley is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Alavaara goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Riley!
