Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jack Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, jack Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyson Austin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Austin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Austin circles away from the clinch attempt
and Austin counters with a series of strikes. Johnson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Johnson wants to clinch but Austin slips to the side

and Austin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that.

Austin tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.
Austin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.
Johnson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Austin.

Austin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Austin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Austin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Austin decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Austin shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Austin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Johnson counters with a head kick that drops Austin to the mat! Austin scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

and Austin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Austin seems to have recovered his senses.

Austin shoots in and gets a takedown into Johnson's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Austin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Austin on the ground.
Austin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Austin postures up and lands a big shot to Johnson's brow.
Austin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Austin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Austin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Austin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Austin drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Austin off! Austin jumps back into Johnson's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Austin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Austin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Austin off to one side.

Johnson rushes Austin and presses him up against the ropes.

Austin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Austin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Johnson is pushing Austin's head away, looking to escape. Austin manages to hold on to the position though.
Austin with the ground and pound but Johnson regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Austin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Austin seems to be working for a kimura but Johnson defends the submission attempt.

Austin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Austin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Johnson defend it? Austin steps over the head and cranks it - Johnson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Austin!
