Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Growes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azis Hasis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hasis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Manu Chao - King Of Bongo. Azis Hasis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glen Growes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Azis Hasis!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Growes paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hasis wants to clinch.
Growes pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Growes throws a nice looking combination but Hasis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Growes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hasis is fighting off a takedown attempt but Growes is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hasis to the mat. Hasis regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Growes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Growes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Growes has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hasis has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Growes is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Hasis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Growes shoots for a double leg takedown but Hasis sprawls well. He's pushed Growes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Growes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hasis's waist but Hasis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Growes off to one side.

Growes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hasis is looking to get back to is feet but Growes passes into side control.
Hasis is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Growes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hasis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
