Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Pan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Bernardini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Pan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andres Bernardini!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bernardini drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bernardini moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Pan looks to move to half guard but instead Bernardini has passed into mount! Damn!
Bernardini looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Bernardini is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Bernardini misses with the combination.
Pan has his takedown stuffed

and Bernardini counters with a shoot takedown. Pan fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bernardini wants to control from the top but Pan keeps moving.
Pan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Pan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bernardini can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bernardini postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Bernardini drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pan!
Pan lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Bernardini tries to buck Pan off but Pan is having none of it.
Pan scores with a couple of short elbows.
Bernardini is looking for a sweep.
Bernardini wants to control but Pan postures up.
Pan looks up at the clock and then as Bernardini takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Pan landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Pan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bernardini on the ground.
Bernardini tries to buck Pan off but Pan is having none of it.
Pan scoring with punches and elbows.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bernardini tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pan works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Pan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Pan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pan tries to get out of the position.

Pan can't escape the position.
Pan gets back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pan misses with a takedown attempt - Bernardini sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Bernardini decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pan's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Pan will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bernardini scores with a one two! Pan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Bernardini shoots in for a takedown but Pan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

No joy there for Bernardini, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bernardini wants to control the pace but Pan is squirming around nicely.
Bernardini takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bernardini can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pan is looking to escape.
Bernardini won't let Pan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Bernardini tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Bernardini slips a nice elbow through Pan's hands, connecting with Pan's forehead.
Pan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bernardini is working away from the top position though.

Bernardini is trying to work for a kimura but Pan is defending well.

Nice straight punches there by Pan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pan.
Pan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Peter Pan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's time! Pan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Panis looking to pass into half guard but Bernardini pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bernardini is in guard.

Peter Pan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Pan.
I think Pan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
