The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blaze throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rivera was covering up waiting for the punch and Blaze finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Blaze passes into half guard.
Rivera on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rivera tries to get out of the position.

Blaze is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rivera wants to control but Blaze is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Blaze tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rivera knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Rivera is looking for a sweep. Blaze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Blaze maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Rivera could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Blaze has cracked it and Rivera is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Blaze!
