Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Pieter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Edgar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Edgar has Pieter pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Edgar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pieter tumbling to the mat - Edgar dives into Pieter's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Edgar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pieter for as long as he can get away with.
