The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira throws a head kick but Alves moves out of range.
Alves throws a shot from downtown. Nogueira moves away and avoids it.
Alves wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nogueira misses with a head kick.
Nogueira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nogueira lands a big head kick that sends Alves tumbling to the mat! Nogueira takes a step backwards and waves Alves back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Alves is rocked!
It looks like Thiago Alves has been cut.
