The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir slaps away a takedown attempt from Severn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Severn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Severn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mir avoids it really well and circles away.
Nathan Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Severn.
Mir drops Severn with a beautiful combination! Severn stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mir is looking for the KO!
Severn is rocked!
It looks like Dan Severn has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Severn tries to get into range but Mir steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Severn! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Mir scores the big KO victory!
