Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Axel Schweiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Ubereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Ubereem or perhaps it was just good defense by Schweiss which made him look bad.
Schweiss throws a head kick but Ubereem moves out of range.
Ubereem shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Schweiss as he jumps to the side.
Schweiss keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Axel Schweiss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alistair Ubereem.
Ubereem fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ubereem shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ubereem shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schweiss pinned against the cage. Schweiss gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ubereem must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ubereem stands and steps away. Schweiss gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ubereem closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ubereem in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Schweiss tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ubereem!
