Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaq Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jason ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jason ortiz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shaq Fu's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu tries to clinch but ortiz moves out of range.

Fu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. ortiz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. ortiz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fu could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fu gets caught flat footed, as ortiz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of ortiz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take ortiz's back!

Fu winds up and cracks ortiz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Fu wants to pass the guard but ortiz is defending well.

ortiz is refusing to be controlled, as Fu sits in half guard.
Fu tries to stand and escape but ortiz is controlling the position.
Fu wants to stand up but ortiz manages to regain full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
ortiz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fu but Fu pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
ortiz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
ortiz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Fu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

I really don't envy ortiz right now.
