The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with an uppercut.
Rivera checks a leg kick nicely.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rivera.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Rivera pushes him off.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rivera manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rivera manages to avoid it.

Rivera gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.

Jones has picked Rivera up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Rivera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rivera pushes Jones off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Rivera swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rivera bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Jones cracks Rivera with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rivera takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Jones scores with a jab. Rivera acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Rivera moves out of range of the strikes.
BOOM! Jones lands a beautiful left hook that drops Rivera. Rivera tries to recover but Jones is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Rivera lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
