The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson has a takedown stuffed.
Love tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily
and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control.
Johnson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
It looks like Kevin Love has been cut.
Love is pushing Johnson's head away, looking to escape. Johnson manages to hold on to the position though.
Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Johnson trying to control the action but Love is working from the bottom.
Johnson is trying to get an arm triangle but Love is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Love shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Love looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Johnson won't allow Love to sweep him here.
Johnson is pushing down on Love's leg trying to pass to half guard. Love is fighting to maintain full guard but Johnson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Johnson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Love tries to kick Johnson off but Johnson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Love is not content to let Johnson control the position.
Johnson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Love defends it well.
Love holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Johnson is pressing down on Love's thigh, looking to free his foot. Love is holding on for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.

Love wants to get back to full guard but Johnson has passed into side control.
Johnson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Johnson is looking to work his way around to Love's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Johnson landing strikes from the mount and Love is in trouble!
Johnson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Love can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Johnson lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Love.
Johnson wants to control but Love is keeping busy.
Love is trying to stand back up.
Johnson has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Love is doing well to defend. Johnson seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Love is forced to tap and this one is over!
