The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto shoots in looking for a takedown but Vetchnikov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Yamamoto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vetchnikov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yamamoto moves away.
Vetchnikov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vetchnikov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yamamoto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vetchnikov misses with an uppercut.
Vetchnikov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Yamamoto.
Vetchnikov lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Vetchnikov stuffs the takedown.

Yamamoto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vetchnikov controls Yamamoto momentarily but Yamamoto frees himself.
Yamamoto slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vetchnikov tries to buck Yamamoto off but Yamamoto is having none of it.
Yamamoto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vetchnikov keeps working.

Vetchnikov pushes Yamamoto away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Yamamoto gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Yamamoto cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Vetchnikov is wriggling around trying to escape.
Vetchnikov is in a horrible position here. Yamamoto smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Vetchnikov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vetchnikov tries to get out of the position.

Yamamoto lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Vetchnikov! Yamamoto sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Vetchnikov and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
