The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Mastodon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Paukku's waist but Paukku gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Mastodon off to one side.

Let's hope that The Mastodon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The Mastodon content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Paukku has locked up a guillotine! Paukku's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? The Mastodon is holding on here and Paukku must be using up a lot of energy. The Mastodon has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Paukku gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
