I think Johns might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to By the Sword - Slash. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Smith!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Johns misses with a wild combination.
Johns lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Smith jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Smith tries for a takedown but Johns sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Johns finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Johns bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Johns - that will leave a mark!
Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Johns.
Johns dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!
Johns throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johns jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Johns.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Johns sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Johns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Smith misses with a looping left.
Smith on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


It looks like Bob Smith has been cut.
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Johns moves away and avoids it.
A nice combination there by Johns.
Johns is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Johns slips the punch.
Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johns looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Johns lands a jab to the head.
Shane Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johns slips under a jab from Smith.
Smith takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Shane Johns is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johns lands with a slapping head kick.
Johns throws an overhand right that lands on Smith's shoulder, as Smith tries to avoid the shot.
Johns tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith cracks Johns with an open hand slap.
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Johns sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Johns is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Johns ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Smith might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Johns moves out of range of the strikes.
A jab from Johns finds it's way through Smith's defenses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Smith misses with a short punch on the inside.
Johns lands on the inside with an uppercut.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Johns.
Johns gets through Smith's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Johns lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Smith backwards.

Johns creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Smith's defenses.

Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

That has opened up Bob Smith's cut even more.
Johns comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Johns.
A knee to the head by Johns.


The cut above Bob Smith's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Johns lands a knee to the head.
Smith takes an elbow to the temple.

Johns lands a nice elbow.
A short right from Johns.
Johns creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Smith's defenses.
Smith takes an elbow to the forehead.
Johns lands an elbow inside that Smith shrugs off.


Bob Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Johns lands a nice elbow.

Johns gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Johns lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


Smith is rocked!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bob Smith's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
