Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gary Dobbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Melfred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Dobbin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Drake Melfred's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dobbin shoots in looking for a takedown. Melfred tries to sprawl out of it but Dobbin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Melfred manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Melfred defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dobbin.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dobbin prevents the takedown attempt.
Dobbin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Melfred goes for a takedown attempt but Dobbin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Dobbin pushes off an throws an elbow but Melfred leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Melfred tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Dobbin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Melfred connects with a body shot that sends Dobbin's belly button to the back.

Melfred throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dobbin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dobbin wants it to stay on the feet.
Melfred shoots in looking for a takedown but Dobbin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Melfred's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well Melfred has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
