Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander connects with a leg kick. Cherry looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cherry throws a jab when Alexander was well out of range.
Cherry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alexander swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cherry closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

A jab-cross combination lands for Cherry and sends Alexander crashing to the mat! Cherry follows him down to the mat - Alexander regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Michael Alexander has been cut.
Cherry is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Oh Alexander is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alexander bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cherry's head backwards.
Cherry stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Alexander.

Cherry takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Alexander closes the distance and pushes Cherry back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alexander fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cherry looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Michael Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cherry gets tackled into the cage by Alexander. Alexander maintains the clinch.

Cherry tries to keep at a distance but Alexander has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cherry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alexander avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Alexander digs a right hand into Cherry's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cherry's gas tank.
