PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Death Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Death Vader has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Death Vader seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vader tries to clinch up but Bo circles away and keeps his distance.
Bo throws a series of punches but Vader avoids them all with ease.
Vader throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bo lands with a hook. Vader tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bo throws a combination. Vader tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bo punishes Vader's body with a nice straight punch.
Bo lands the left hand.
Vader walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Vader shoots in looking for a takedown. Bo tries to sprawl out of it but Vader keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bo throws a series of punches but Vader avoids them all with ease.
Vader tries to clinch but Bo is having none of it.
Bo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A frustrated look appears on Vader's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Bo is trying to push Vader away but Vader has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Vader is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Bo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bo.
Bo misses with a series of wild punches.
Vader tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bo throws a nice looking combination but Vader bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vader shoots for a takedown but Bo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Death Vader. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bo rushes Vader and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bo cracks Vader with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Bo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Vader had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Bo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Oh Vader is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vader is out of range.

Oooooh!!! Bo has knocked Vader down with a huge combo! Bo steps away and waves a wobbly Vader back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Vader seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Bo shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Vader is backing up but Bo catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Vader covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Bo Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pedro Bo!
