And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk throws a body punch but Vongkhamchanh moves out of range.
Vongkhamchanh takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Juliano Vongkhamchanh has been cut.
Hawk moves into range and connects with a jab.
Vongkhamchanh moves out of range of the strikes.
Hawk misses with a looping left.
Vongkhamchanh needs to keep his hands up - Hawk had a free shot at his head there.
Hawk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vongkhamchanh takes the fight into the clinch.
Hawk can't break the clinch.
Vongkhamchanh keeps control of Hawk as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Vongkhamchanh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hawk just stands there and leans against the cage.
Vongkhamchanh goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hawk manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hawk has Vongkhamchanh pressed against the cage, preventing Vongkhamchanh from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hawk looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hawk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vongkhamchanh has him pressed against the cage.

Hawk pulls Vongkhamchanh into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vongkhamchanh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vongkhamchanh throwing strikes from guard but Hawk blocks nicely.
Hawk looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Vongkhamchanh tries to stand but Hawk is controlling from the bottom.
Vongkhamchanh wants to control from the top but Hawk keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vongkhamchanh slips a jab from Hawk.
Hawk thows a left - swing and a miss!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vongkhamchanh takes one to the side of the head.
Hawk misses the shot to the body.
Hawk takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Vongkhamchanh tries to close the distance and clinch but Hawk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hawk misses with a two punch combination.
Vongkhamchanh connects with a high kick.
Vongkhamchanh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hawk throws an overhand right that lands on Vongkhamchanh's shoulder, as Vongkhamchanh tries to avoid the shot.
Hawk scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hawk in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hawk wants to work for an arm triangle but Vongkhamchanh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vongkhamchanh has hold of Hawk's hands but Hawk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Hawk looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Vongkhamchanh tries to kick Hawk off but Hawk keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hawk looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Hawk looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vongkhamchanh looks like he's trying to stand up.

Hawk content to control rather than advance.
Hawk's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lincoln Hawk dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Juliano Vongkhamchanh's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hawk lands a head shot.
Hawk scores with a nice right hand.
Vongkhamchanh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vongkhamchanh doesn't manage to clinch there - Hawk circles away.
Hawk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hawk lands in his opponent's guard.

Hawk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Vongkhamchanh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hawk postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vongkhamchanh is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hawk, into his guard.

Hawk manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

BOOM! Hawk connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That has opened up Juliano Vongkhamchanh's cut even more.
Vongkhamchanh in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The cut above Juliano Vongkhamchanh's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hawk lands with some strikes.
Juliano Vongkhamchanh's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Juliano Vongkhamchanh's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
