Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Schuman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gene Kiniski!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schuman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kiniski.
Schuman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Schuman throws a big shot that misses.
Schuman thows a left - swing and a miss!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Schuman.
Schuman moves in looking to clinch but Kiniski pushes him off.
Kiniski staying out of range there.
A combination from Schuman does no damage.
Schuman shoots in but no luck this time.
Kiniski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schuman throws out the jab.
Schuman is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schuman throws a leg kick but Kiniski checks it.
Schuman tries to close the distance and clinch but Kiniski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Schuman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Let's hope that Kiniski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Schuman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kiniski passes into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Kiniski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Gene Kiniski just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Schuman misses with a takedown attempt

and Kiniski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Well, if Kiniski is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Schuman is looking for a sweep. Kiniski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Schuman is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kiniski pulls his head out easily.
Schuman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kiniski's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kiniski's back!
Kiniski really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Schuman's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Schuman looking to break Kiniski's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kiniski remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Schuman will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Schuman's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Schuman is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

You can see the frustration on Schuman's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Kiniski controlling the position well here. Schuman rolled but Kiniski kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Schuman is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Schuman's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Schuman throws a right hand that Kiniski ducks under and follows up with a left that Kiniski also avoids with ease.

Kiniski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Schuman's guard.
