Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between james potkukelkka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hiro pongha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
potkukelkka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
pongha is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
potkukelkka throws a hook but pongha blocks it.
potkukelkka circles away from the clinch attempt.

pongha has managed to clinch.
pongha tries to score a body lock takedown but potkukelkka shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
pongha manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A frustrated look appears on potkukelkka's face as he tries to break the clinch.

pongha lands a takedown into guard.
potkukelkka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
pongha not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
potkukelkka wants to stand and escape but pongha is having none of it.
potkukelkka can't keep his opponent in guard - pongha advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
pongha is taking a breather. potkukelkka says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

potkukelkka has hold of pongha's hands but pongha slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

pongha is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, potkukelkka has managed to free his arm - good work.
potkukelkka is trying to stand up here but pongha is controlling him well.
pongha thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
pongha is figuring out what he wants to do next.
potkukelkka pushes pongha off looking to stand but pongha dives back in and keeps control.
pongha thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed potkukelkka's head.
pongha working over potkukelkka with some ground and pound. potkukelkka looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
potkukelkka is breathing heavily.
pongha is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by hiro pongha.

and pongha moves into the clinch.
pongha makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Nice body punch from pongha - that landed with a thud.
pongha lands on the inside with an uppercut.

pongha lands a damaging elbow.

pongha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

potkukelkka tries to keep at a distance but pongha has taken the fight into the clinch.

potkukelkka is fighting off a takedown attempt but pongha is just too persistent for him and manages to trip potkukelkka to the mat. potkukelkka regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
pongha is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
pongha keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of potkukelkka's head.
pongha advances position into side control!
potkukelkka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for pongha on the ground.
potkukelkka is trying to get back to his feet.
pongha staying calm.
pongha's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

pongha creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

pongha lands a few punches from side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

pongha is working to tighten is grip on potkukelkka's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. potkukelkka has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but pongha is really squeezing tight and eventually potkukelkka passes out! pongha breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
