Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox has chosen Something I Can Never Have as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pacquiao is out of range and Knox settles back down.
Pacquiao scores with a hook.
Some wild striking there from Pacquiao.
Pacquiao keeps the fight on the outside.
Knox shoots in looking for a takedown but Pacquiao manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knox's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pacquiao is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Knox closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knox lands in his opponent's guard.
Knox keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pacquiao's head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Knox wants to work for an arm triangle but Pacquiao is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Knox is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pacquiao is just riding it out for now. Knox eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

You get the feeling that Pacquiao really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Pacquiao is in a horrible position here. Knox smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nice takedown defense from Pacquiao. No joy for Knox on that attempt.
Pacquiao tries to bum rush Knox with a series of wild strikes but Knox uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Knox manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Pacquiao is fighting to break Knox's control of his arms but Knox is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Knox is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mickey Knox wasn't active enough on the ground.

Manny Pacquiao is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pacquiao stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pacquiao wants it to stay on the feet.

Knox drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Knox creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pacquiao sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
A lull in the action here as Knox stalls from top position.
Knox lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pacquiao down.
Knox has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mickey Knox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Knox shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pacquiao pinned against the cage. Pacquiao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pacquiao throws a right and a left that Knox avoids nicely.
Knox shoots in and drives through. Pacquiao sprawls well.
Pacquiao cracks Knox with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

Pacquiao just misses with a punch to the body.
Knox tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pacquiao swivels and escapes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Knox fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Knox can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pacquiao is looking to escape.
Knox lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Pacquiao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Knox on the ground.

Mickey Knox is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Let's hope that Knox has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mickey Knox has got the better of the ground game so far.

Knox shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pacquiao as he avoids it easily.
