Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frodo Baggs!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baggs misses with a jab, cross combination.

Miller moves into the clinch successfully.
Miller misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Baggs.

Miller wants the takedown. Baggs is fighting it off but Miller persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Baggs's guard against the ropes.
Miller tries to stand but Baggs is controlling from the bottom.
Miller preventing the sweep.
Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Baggs wants to sweep but no luck.

Baggs is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Baggs keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully.

Baggs working for a triangle but Miller defends it easily.
Miller trying to control but Baggs is working from the bottom.
Miller won't allow Baggs to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Miller wants to control from the top but Baggs keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A punch combination from Baggs misses.
Baggs thows a body shot but no joy.

Miller drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Baggs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there.
Miller wants to control from the top but Baggs keeps moving.

Miller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Miller cracks Baggs with a solid left hand.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Miller decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Baggs, as that shot connected.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baggs throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease.
Frodo Baggs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Miller moves forwards but Baggs connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Miller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Baggs lands a nice shot to the body.

Miller feints and as Baggs raises his hands in defense, Miller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Miller is breathing heavily.
Miller lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Baggs has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Miller passes Baggs's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Baggs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miller.
Miller is looking to take a break and control but Baggs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Baggs is trying to get back to full guard.
Baggs missing with punches from the bottom.
Baggs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miller not doing much here.
Miller is keen to just control but Baggs is a slippery customer.
Baggs tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg.

Miller is trying to work for a kimura but Baggs is defending well.
Baggs is looking to improve his position.
Baggs is refusing to be controlled, as Miller sits in half guard.
Baggs tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control.
It looks like Miller is going to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Baggs tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control.
Miller wants to control but Baggs is keeping him busy.

Jason Miller has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Miller closes the distance and pushes Baggs back into the ropes.

Miller manages to pull guard.
Miller looking for a sweep. Not yet Miller, not yet.
Miller controls Baggs momentarily but Baggs frees himself.
Baggs looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Miller wants to get up but he can't break Baggs's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Baggs controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself.
Miller cracks Baggs with a solid left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Miller dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Baggs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively.
Baggs fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Miller takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Baggs fails to land with a series of punches.
Baggs throws a one two combo.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Baggs as he avoids it easily.

Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Miller pulls guard effortlessly.
Baggs wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.
Baggs looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Miller has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Baggs to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Miller is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Baggs pulls down on the head and he's put Miller to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Frodo Baggs!
