Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kato Takei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kato Takei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dirk Stone!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takei shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stone manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Takei controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone is looking to stand up but Takei isn't so interested in that idea.

We're going to have a standup here because Kato Takei wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Takei shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Stone working for submissions but it's allowed Takei to get to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth.

Takei changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Takei stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Takei tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Takei has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kato Takei just wasn't active enough.
Stone tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Takei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stone moves into the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Takei blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Stone is trying to break the clinch but Takei has him pressed against the cage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Stone takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Takei breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Takei shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Stone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Takei wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
Takei tries to free his leg and advance position but Stone is retaining full guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kato Takei.

Kato Takei showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Takei has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
