PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nimos Oiky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oiky comes to the cage accompanied by In The Morning. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nimos Oiky!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Jorge!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorge fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jorge shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Oiky is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Jorge throws a right hand that Oiky ducks under and follows up with a left that Oiky also avoids with ease.
Jorge has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
