Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giant Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Webster comes to the cage accompanied by Guns N' Roses - Dead Horse. Kong comes into a darkened arena with his song building. GIANT KONG kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Giant Kong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giant Kong!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kong.
Kong falls off balance throwing a combination
and Webster makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Webster darts in and clinches Kong up against the cage.

Kong wants the takedown. Webster is fighting it off but Kong persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Webster's guard against the cage.

Kong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Webster wants to stand and escape but Kong is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kong wants to pass the guard but Webster is keeping the position.
Webster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kong on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Webster is on top in guard.
Kong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kong has his foot on Webster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Webster works his way back into a safe position though.

Webster got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Webster has managed to get both his arms back between Kong's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Webster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Webster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Webster defends it easily.
Webster controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We're going to have a standup here because Chris Webster wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kong chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Webster can pounce on him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Webster's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kong is landing with some decent strikes but Webster is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Kong swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Webster is now in Kong's guard. A big mistake from Kong there, giving up the dominant position!

Webster would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Webster.
Kong blocks a head kick by Webster.
Kong shoots for a takedown but Webster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chris Webster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Webster stuffs the takedown.
Chris Webster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giant Kong.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Webster lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kong looks gassed!
Kong takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Giant Kong has been cut.
Kong shoots in for a takedown but Webster shows good takedown defense.
Kong circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Webster will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Webster throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Webster keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kong shoots in for a double leg but Webster sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Webster wants to clinch up but Kong keeps it at a distance.
Webster scores with a push kick.
Webster fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kong circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Webster. No joy for Kong on that attempt.
Chris Webster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giant Kong.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Webster buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kong is breathing heavily.
Webster throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Giant Kong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kong blocks a head kick by Webster.
Webster tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

A jab from Webster finds it's way through Kong's defenses.
Webster lands with a kick to the temple. Kong shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Webster lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kong will feel that in the morning.

Webster lands a big head kick that sends Kong tumbling to the mat! Webster takes a step backwards and waves Kong back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Kong is rocked!


That has opened up Giant Kong's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kong gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
