And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fernando Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Katsuki takes the fight into the clinch.
Katsuki tries to land a knee to the head but Oliveira blocks with his arms.
Oliveira tries to pull guard but Katsuki won't allow it.
Katsuki using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Oliveira has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Oliveira is trying to push Katsuki away but Katsuki has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Katsuki lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Oliveira fails to pull guard.
Katsuki scores a nice knee to the body.
Oliveira tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Isamu Katsuki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Oliveira.
Oliveira takes an elbow to the temple.
Katsuki has a couple of punches blocked by Oliveira.
Katsuki using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Oliveira with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Katsuki throws a knee to the head but misses.

Oliveira breaks the clinch.

Oliveira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Katsuki is pushing Oliveira's head away, looking to escape. Oliveira manages to hold on to the position though.
Katsuki is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Oliveira controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oliveira tries to stand but Katsuki controls the position and pulls Oliveira into his guard.
Oliveira is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Fernando Oliveira was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Oliveira walks forward, straight into a front kick from Katsuki.
Katsuki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oliveira.
Sloppy strikes from Katsuki. Those never looked like landing.
Oliveira throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Katsuki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Oliveira!
Oliveira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Katsuki thowing shots but they're missing.
Oliveira is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Katsuki throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Oliveira because Katsuki loaded up on that one.
Oliveira tries to reverse the position but Katsuki maintains control.
Poor strikes thrown by Katsuki there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oliveira wants to control but Katsuki is having none of it.

Katsuki working for a guillotine from mount but Oliveira is in no mood to give up.
Oliveira tries to control Katsuki's body but Katsuki pushes him off. Oliveira squirms to his side and now Katsuki has his back!
Oliveira covering up well and avoiding damage.
Oliveira tries to roll but Katsuki sticks to his back.

Oliveira trying to control the action but Katsuki just sinks the hooks in.
Katsuki struggling to keep hold of the position.
Oliveira is trying to stand back up.

Katsuki is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Oliveira is tapping out! This one is all over!
