Paredes looks to land a combination but Garciaz avoids it well.
Garciaz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Paredes drops his shoulder and cracks Garciaz with a huge uppercut! Garciaz goes down! Can Paredes finish him?

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Paredes pushing down on Garciaz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Paredes wants to pass the guard but Garciaz is defending well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Paredes is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Sancho Paredes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Paredes cracks Garciaz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Garciaz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Paredes pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Garciaz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
