The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Days fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Leurs manages to avoid it.
Days looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Leurs has managed to clinch.

Leurs pulls guard.
Leurs is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Days trying to control but Leurs is working from the bottom.

Days drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Leurs dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leurs trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Leurs would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Days working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leurs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position.
