Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ian Hoefsloot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ian Hoefsloot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Khan!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Khan throws a head kick but Hoefsloot moves out of range.
Khan moves out of range as Hoefsloot strikes.
Khan delivers a nice body kick.
Khan throws a head kick that misses.
Khan lands a high kick!

Hoefsloot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hoefsloot wants to pass the guard but Khan is keeping the position.
Khan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hoefsloot!

Khan jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hoefsloot is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hoefsloot and Khan has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Khan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hoefsloot is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Khan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hoefsloot has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hoefsloot tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Khan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Khan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Khan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Khan swings around for an armbar but Hoefsloot sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Khan's guard.

Hoefsloot stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Khan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hoefsloot to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Khan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hoefsloot has picked Khan up and slammed him! Khan can't keep hold of the triangle and Hoefsloot manages to pass to side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan looks gassed!
Khan can't do much from the bottom here.
Khan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Khan looking for a sweep but Hoefsloot has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hoefsloot controlling from mount.
Hoefsloot working the ground and pound effectively.

Hoefsloot stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Khan throws a nice inside leg kick.

Hoefsloot shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Khan is trying to defend but Hoefsloot finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hoefsloot frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Hoefsloot is landing with some decent strikes but Khan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hoefsloot stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Hoefsloot on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hoefsloot takes a kick to the side of the head.

Hoefsloot moves into the clinch.
Khan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Khan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Khan wants to get back to striking at distance but Hoefsloot won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ian Hoefsloot will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A nice inside leg kick there by Khan. That's going to slow Hoefsloot down.
A head kick misses from Khan.
Khan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Khan throws a push kick but Hoefsloot slaps the foot to one side.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hoefsloot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Khan - the referee stops the clock and Hoefsloot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Khan. Hoefsloot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Khan lands a high kick!
Khan lands with a kick to the temple. Hoefsloot shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Khan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Khan throws a head kick that half lands.
Khan scores with a nice body kick.
Khan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Hoefsloot closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Khan to the mat! Khan manages to get full guard.
Khan tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hoefsloot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hoefsloot forces his way into half guard.

Khan tries to get to full guard but Hoefsloot has control of the leg.
Khan wants to control but Hoefsloot is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hoefsloot passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Khan!

Khan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hoefsloot postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Khan looks a forlorn figure.

Hoefsloot lands a heavy elbow.
Hoefsloot tries to control but Khan wriggling away.
Khan is trying desperately to improve position.
Hoefsloot takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hoefsloot controlling his opponent.
Hoefsloot trying to control but Khan is having none of it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Khan wants to hold on but Hoefsloot pushes him away.
Khan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Khan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Khan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ian Hoefsloot dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Khan throws a leg kick which misses Hoefsloot's front leg but catches the back leg as Hoefsloot tries to avoid it.

Khan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hoefsloot.
Mike Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hoefsloot's head.

Hoefsloot shoots in and bounces Khan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hoefsloot stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Khan.

Khan lands a head kick. Hoefsloot smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Mike Khan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Khan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Khan moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Khan looks to land a body kick but Hoefsloot moved away.
Hoefsloot throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Khan throws the kick towards the body but Hoefsloot avoids it.

Hoefsloot drives through and clinches with Khan against the cage.

Hoefsloot manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Hoefsloot tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Khan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hoefsloot manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Khan has Hoefsloot in his guard.

Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mike Khan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hoefsloot stands up over Khan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hoefsloot stands and throws Khan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Khan tries to buck Hoefsloot off but Hoefsloot is having none of it.
Ian Hoefsloot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hoefsloot landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Hoefsloot stands up and beckons Khan to his feet.

Hoefsloot has Khan up against the cage in a clinch.
Hoefsloot is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Khan jumps guard but Hoefsloot stands there with Khan around his waist. Khan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hoefsloot is trying to control. Khan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Ian Hoefsloot showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hoefsloot, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
