PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hal Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brady comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Killer on the loose kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Hal Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Seamus Brady!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brady throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jordan was covering up waiting for the punch and Brady finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jordan is working an open guard so Brady takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jordan tries to clinch but Brady moves away

and Brady counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jordan wants to get back to his feet but Brady is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jordan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brady defends well.

Brady drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jordan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brady has Jordan in his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brady striking off his back but it's not causing Jordan any problems.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brady looking to control.

Jordan drops back looking for a leg! Brady is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brady manages to kick Jordan off! Jordan jumps back into Brady's guard.

Jordan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jordan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brady swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brady shoots and misses

and Jordan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Jordan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brady misses with a double jab

and Jordan counters with a crisp one two that drops Brady! Jordan thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Brady to his feet! Brady is in big trouble!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brady fails with the takedown
and Jordan counters with a nice uppercut.
Brady looks gassed!
Jordan drops Brady with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Brady! Jordan dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
