Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Dueck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masakatsu Ueda!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ueda showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dueck.
Dueck looking to land some kicks to the body here.
No joy there for Dueck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ueda lands with a good body shot.

Ueda looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dueck!
Ueda sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ueda throws some wild stikes that Dueck manages to avoid easily.

Ueda throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ueda cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ueda misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Ueda can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dueck is looking to escape.
Dueck is bucking up trying to escape but Ueda cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Dueck tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ueda swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dueck catches Ueda with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Dueck really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Still in the clinch, Dueck scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ueda lands an elbow that stopped Dueck in his tracks for a moment.

Ueda is trying to control the position but Dueck postures up.
Dueck postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dueck with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Dueck throws a strike but Ueda rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ueda is just content to waste time from the top position. Dueck takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Dueck knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ueda on the ground.

Masakatsu Ueda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dueck pushes off an throws an elbow but Ueda leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Well Ueda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
