Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lars Mintzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaennor Malaipet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malaipet comes into a darkened arena with his song building. CLASH - Crashing kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kaennor Malaipet!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mintzer chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Malaipet looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Malaipet tries to score with a low kick but Mintzer moves his leg out of the way.
Mintzer misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mintzer throws a leg kick
and Malaipet counters with an outside leg kick.
Mintzer misses with a leg kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Malaipet checks a leg kick.
Malaipet throws a leg kick but Mintzer sees it coming and moves out of range.
Malaipet checks the leg kick nicely there.
Mintzer throws a leg kick that is checked
and Malaipet counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mintzer's knee momentarily.
Malaipet lands a big head kick that sends Mintzer tumbling to the mat! Malaipet takes a step backwards and waves Mintzer back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Lars Mintzer has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mintzer moves away from the strike by Malaipet.
Mintzer throws the kick towards the body but Malaipet avoids it.
Malaipet moves out of range of the body kick.
Malaipet pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Malaipet wants to land a leg kick but Mintzer is out of range.
Mintzer looks to throw a body kick
and Malaipet counters with a solid body kick.
Mintzer is breathing heavily.
Malaipet throws a head kick that misses.
Malaipet throws a sloppy head kick and Mintzer moves out of range easily.
Mintzer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A low kick from Mintzer misses
and Malaipet counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Malaipet looks at the referee who does nothing so Malaipet lands a crushing right that sends Mintzer to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaennor Malaipet!
