The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurama shoots in and bounces Reyes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gurama throws a big right hand that misses.
Gurama keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reyes's head.
Gurama postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reyes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gurama manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gurama is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Reyes has his hands clasped together but Gurama extends an breaks Reyes's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gurama.
