Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In The Morning. Anderson has chosen Where the hood at ? as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jenkins tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance.
Anderson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Steve Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Anderson.
Jenkins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jenkins to the ground. Jenkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jenkins throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily.
Jenkins stuffs the takedown attempt from Anderson. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet.
Jenkins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Anderson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jenkins.
Anderson looks gassed!
Jenkins throws a half hearted mid kick.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jenkins defends it nicely.
Jenkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jenkins dodges the punch combination from Anderson.
Anderson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jenkins can pounce on him.
Jenkins fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jenkins tries to land a front kick but Anderson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jenkins is looking to clinch.
Jenkins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jason Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins just misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson misses with a hook. Jenkins ducked under it nicely.
Jenkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jenkins lands a big head kick that sends Anderson tumbling to the mat! Jenkins takes a step backwards and waves Anderson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Jason Anderson has been cut.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jenkins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jenkins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Anderson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jenkins is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Anderson.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jenkins but Jenkins pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jenkins fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Anderson checks it well.
Jenkins plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Anderson.

Jenkins rushes Anderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Anderson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jenkins wants to stand but Anderson is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Jason Anderson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jenkins is looking to clinch.

Anderson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jenkins pushes Anderson off looking to stand but Anderson dives back in and keeps control.

Anderson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jenkins has managed to free his arm - good work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jenkins shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anderson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Anderson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jenkins checks it well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jenkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Anderson won't allow Jenkins to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Anderson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jenkins has momentary wrist control but Anderson slips an elbow through the middle.
Anderson pushes down on Jenkins's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Anderson connects with a nice short shot to Jenkins's temple.
Anderson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Anderson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jenkins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jenkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground.

Jason Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Jenkins which made him look bad.

Anderson looks up at the clock and then as Jenkins takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Anderson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jenkins is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Anderson gets his way!
Anderson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Anderson. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anderson lands shots to the head and Jenkins turtles up! The ref has seen enough and stops the fight! This one is over!
