Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jhay vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
vera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
vera moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off.
vera tries to clinch but Lee moves out of range.
Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
vera walks into a jab.
vera shoots in for a double leg but Lee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The fight stays on the outside here - vera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of jhay vera.
Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
vera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lee circles away.
vera shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed vera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lee cracks vera with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
vera moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
An inside leg kick lands from Lee.
Lee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and vera has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits veras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
vera gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
vera looks gassed!
Lee jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
vera doesn't manage to clinch there - Lee circles away.
Lee with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lee lands with a slapping head kick.
vera takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

vera tries to move into range but Lee moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lee cracks vera with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A head kick from Lee lands but vera takes it in his stride.
vera closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Lee.
Lee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lee lands a two punch combo.
Lee lands a nice hook to vera's body. vera takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Lee lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lee is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Lee stuffs the takedown attempt from vera. vera gets slowly back to his feet.
vera's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lee connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! vera scrambles back to his feet.

Lee throws a series of strikes that have vera backpedaling.

Lee feints a jab promting vera to slip. Lee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. vera slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Lee connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lee moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
vera is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lee is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for vera.
Lee bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lee throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
vera walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lee.
Lee lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Lee scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
vera has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Lee.
Lee works the jab nicely.
Bruce Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
vera takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lee lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lee throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lee throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lee throws a front kick that sends vera stumbling back into the cage.
Lee scores with a sloppy right hand. vera should have avoided that one.
vera has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
vera takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lee. That's going to slow vera down.

Lee sizes up vera with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

vera doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lee lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lee connects with a high kick.
jhay vera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Danga de danga de dang - Lee scores with a four punch combination!
Lee pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces vera back to the cage. Lee follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Lee scores with the left hand. vera knows he should have avoided that one.
vera on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
vera takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lee lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

vera's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
vera is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

BOOM! Lee lands a beautiful left hook that drops vera. vera tries to recover but Lee is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and vera lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
